Moving Procedures

Moving Hours
Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance.
Monday - Friday:    6:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
                                   6:00 p.m. - Midnight
Saturday:                 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Sunday:                    9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Tenant and Tenant’s Contractor need to provide the following information to the Building Management Office three (3) weeks prior to the intended move date.
Move Date
For the benefit of all Tenants, major moves/deliveries can only be accommodated on weekends or after 6:00 p.m. on weekdays. Please specify the date and time desired as soon as possible to avoid conflicts with the reservations of the Loading Dock and Service Elevators.
Moving Company
The moving contractor shall be responsible for all damages and losses sustained to tools and equipment utilized in the performance of all work there under. When moving into the building, please contact the Building Management Office for assistance. The management office will issue your tenant representative an access card/key, which grants access to the building. Additional cards will be issued upon request. Shorenstein requires that the moving contractor provide protection for building flooring, walls and elevators during loading and unloading. If you are not using a moving contractor, please call the management office for assistance in coordinating the use of the elevator and protection of flooring.
Please use designated loading zones for unloading. DO NOT PARK IN FIRE LANES.
Please ask the moving contractor to contact the property manager well in advance of the moving date to schedule use of the elevator. The elevator is available for moving during non-business hours only with the approval of the management office. Approval is also required for moves that are scheduled to take place during the weekend.
Please submit a Certificate of Insurance from your moving company evidencing:

Please notify your moving company that the following parties must be listed as additional insureds under the insurance policy;

Note: The Certificate of Insurance may be emailed to the Property Management Office  at 1301connecticut@shorenstein.com. A scheduled move may be delayed if the Certificate of Insurance is incomplete or incorrect.
A member of the Property Management team will inspect the moving route before and after your move.
Move Policies:
  • Certificate of Insurance (COI) must be received in the Management Office prior to the move. Contact the Management Office at 1301connecticut@shorenstein.com for a sample certificate. .
  • Use of the elevator during business hours is not exclusive. Holding the elevator is prohibited.
  • The Engineer or the Lobby front desk can activate the “independent service” access during non-business hours.
  • Tenant and moving supervisor must be on duty at all times while move is in progress. The moving contractor and its employees are required to remain in the move area at all times. Security violations will be met with immediate dismissal.
  • Tenant will provide access to restroom facilities.
  • Tenant or moving supervisor must notify the management office of damages immediately.
  • Remove all packing materials from the premises. Do not discard boxes or debris in common area hallways.
  • Protect wall covering & corners with shields and carpet with masonite. Do not remove elevator pads.
  • Use only established service routes and access doors.
  • Contractors and movers are not allowed access to the main lobby and to passenger elevators.
